Waag Society
Waag Society ontwikkelt creatieve technologie voor maatschappelijke innovatie. De stichting doet onderzoek, ontwikkelt concepten, pilots en prototypen en fungeert als intermediair tussen de kunsten, de wetenschap en de media. Hiertoe ontwikkelt het samenwerkingsvormen met partijen in de culturele, publieke en private sector.
Fablab
De digitale communicatie revolutie ligt achter ons. Het is tijd voor de volgende... Personal Fabrication. De mogelijkheid 'to make almost anything', thuis met desktop machines. Het ligt nu (bijna ) binnen handbereik door een concept uitgedacht door Neil Gershenfeld van MIT. Het heet een FabLab, en bestaat uit een set machines van bij elkaar zo'n 30.000 dollar, waarmee zo niet alles, dan toch veel kan worden ontworpen en gerealiseerd.

Moddr_
We wanted to create a place that is more accessible to young artists and hackers, without the need for overblown project descriptions and ridiculous budget applications. The name ‘moddr_’ resembles the dutch word ‘modder‘, meaning mud, and we chose this name to show that a large part of our practice involves the modification (modding) and re-creation of already existing technology. We tend to dislike the idea of contemporary media being labeled ‘new’, and it is part of our mission to display a critical perspective on issues related to this through our artistic practice - basically the lab consists of some very geeky fine-artists…
De Player
DE PLAYER is a soundgallery/performance-stage with a strong preference for the experiment. Besides hosting (international) artists who have their roots in the 'popular' (experimental, electronic) music, we also programmed both classical and contemporary composed music, our so called Player's Classico's. As an experimental stage we think it is nessecary and essential to think of new ways of programming and presenting contemporary music.
Patchingzone
The Patchingzone is a transdisciplinary laboratory for innovation where Master, doctor, post-doc students and professionals from different backgrounds create meaningful content. In our laboratories the students and researchers work together, supervised by experts, on commissions with creative use of high-tech materials, digital media and / or information technology.

The Institute of Network Cultures analyses and shapes the terrain of network cultures from the inside. No innocent bystander, it actively contributes to the field through events, publications and online dialogue. The sphere of new media has huge potential for socio-technological change – the mission of the Institute of Network Cultures, the INC, is to explore, document and feed this potential.

Nieuwe media fungeren als belangrijkste katalysator voor verandering in onze manier van leven, werken en vermaak. Cultuur en de kunsten zijn hiervoor een belangrijke bron van innovatie. Wij geloven dat e-cultuur op zijn beurt een wezenlijke bijdrage kan leveren aan sociale en economische ontwikkeling. Virtueel Platform adviseert en documenteert, en organiseert inspirerende activiteiten die mensen uit verschillende sectoren samen brengen teneinde de kennis over e-cultuur bevorderen. In het bijzonder willen wij de dialoog stimuleren tussen e-cultuur producenten en beleidsmakers en tussen culturele organisaties zelf.
Baltan Laboratories
BALTAN Laboratories initieert, ondersteunt en verspreidt innovatief onderzoek en vernieuwende activiteiten op het gebied van kunst, technologie en cultuur. BALTAN Laboratories is een twee jaar durend proefproject in het SWA-gebouw op Strijp S in Eindhoven en daarmee een eerste stap in de richting van een breder Art Science Lab in het voormalige NatLab (natuurkundelaboratorium Philips). BALTAN Laboratories streeft actief naar nieuwe samenwerkingsverbanden tussen disciplines en fungeert als kruispunt voor kunstenaars die werken met technologie in Eindhoven en daarbuiten.
NIMK
Het Nederlands Instituut voor Mediakunst (NIMk) bevordert een vrije ontwikkeling, toepassing, verspreiding van, en reflectie op nieuwe technologieën binnen de beeldende kunst. Het Nederlands Instituut voor Mediakunst ondersteunt de mediakunst op drie kerngebieden: presentatie, onderzoek en collectie en biedt via faciliteiten een uitgebreide dienstverlening voor kunstenaars en kunstinstellingen. Hierbij horen ook educatieve programma’s die voor alle activiteiten ontwikkeld worden.

FESTIVALS:
Stichting Medialab Enschede is een jong en innovatief platform voor mediakunst. Een plek waar beeldende kunst ontstaat. Zij wil een platform zijn voor het creëren, presenteren en analyseren van kunstprojecten. Medialab Enschede initieert samenwerking met kunstenaars en deskundigen uit andere disciplines met als doel de kansen en kracht van de hedendaagse kunst te onderzoeken.

TUBELIGHT is een recensieblad en -site voor korte, kritische recensies over met name kleine presentaties van hedendaagse kunst in Nederland.
Planetart
PLANETART streeft naar promotie en presentatie van actuele, hedendaagse kunst, als kritische en vernieuwende, immateriële waarde aan de maatschappij. De activiteiten beslaan een breed spectrum aan disciplines en invalshoeken, inherent aan de diverse ontwikkelingen en verschuivingen in de sociale en elektronische (sub)cultuur en populaire cultuur, in Nederland en daarbuiten. Planetart reflecteert en presenteert met haar programma's op een geheel eigen en onderscheidende wijze, en brengt multimediale, geëngageerde kunst met een laagdrempelig karakter. PLANETART zoekt nieuwe mogelijkheden om met kunst te confronteren, te verwonderen en te inspireren.

International Symposium on Electronic Art is a nonprofit organization fostering interdisciplinary academic discourse and exchange among culturally diverse organizations and individuals working with art, science and emerging technologies.
Mediamatic
Wij houden ons bezig met culturele ontwikkelingen die gepaard gaan met nieuwe technologieën, of nieuwe technologieën die culturele ontwikkelingen veroorzaken. We organiseren tentoonstellingen, workshops, salons en andere projecten over nieuwe media, kunst en cultuur.
De Balie
De Balie is een platform voor een breed publiek en voor alle soorten media. Het is gehuisvest in het voormalige gerechtshof aan het Leidseplein in Amsterdam. In drie zalen vinden dagelijks debatten, seminars, theater- en filmvoorstellingen plaats, gericht op culturele, sociale en politieke kwesties. Maar De Balie is meer dan een debatcentrum. Onderwerpen worden vanuit zo veel mogelijk invalshoeken bestudeerd en bediscussieerd. Invalshoeken in de zin van vorm (cinema, theater, nieuwe media, etc.) en in de betekenis van inhoud (politiek, cultureel, maatschappelijk, etc).
FESTIVALS:
5days Off
5 DAYS OFF is een stadsfestival voor elektronische muziekfestival en gelieerde disciplines als audio-visuele kunst, fotografie en film. Op muzikaal gebied brengt het festival een cutting edge programma waarin gerenommeerde namen en aanstormende nieuwelingen elkaar aanvullen. Van minimal en techno langs hiphop en soul t ot aan electro en live-acts: 5 days off geeft een zo divers mogelijk beeld van de ontwikkelingen binnen de verschillende genres. Het festival heeft daarmee zowel nationaal als internationaal een sterke reputatie opgebouwd bij zowel bezoekers als artiesten.
GOGBOT
GOGBOT is een vierdaags festival op het gebied van kunst, technologie, media en muziek, dat plaatsvindt op 10 locaties in Enschede. Het thema voor 2009 was Atompunk ('45-'65 cold war modernism). Dit concept is evenals Steampunk ontwikkeld i.s.m. de Amerikaanse science fiction schrijver en design-goeroe Bruce Sterling.

DEAF ('07)
The Dutch Electronic Art Festival (DEAF) is an international and interdisciplinary biennial that focuses on art, technology and society and is organized by V2_, Institute for the Unstable Media, in Rotterdam. DEAF presents a wide range of programme segments, including, of course, a large exhibition of interactive artworks and installations. There will also be concerts, performances, seminars, workshops and an academic symposium. The festival is characterized by a thematic approach. Its aim is to bring current developments and themes around art in our technological culture to a diverse audience.
Urban Explorers
Urban Explorers is een 3-daags festival waar de grenzen tussen wat kan en niet kan worden afgetast en de ongebaande wegen vol gas worden betreden. Scheidslijnen vervagen met cross-overs van geluidskunst, performance, film, (pop)muziek, theater en dans als verrassend resultaat. Stedelijke expedities, met op onverwachte plekken in de stad onvermoede acts, vormen de rode draad in het programma.
Sonic Acts
Sonic Acts The Poetics of Space is entirely dedicated to the exploration of space in performative and audiovisual art, film, music and architecture. It examines the importance of physical space in times of far-reaching technological developments, and the physical and psychological impact of spatial designs. The programme comprises four densely filled days and nights and will provide an extensive overview of recent works and experiments – spatial audio compositions, audiovisual installations and performances – and includes relevant historical examples and utopian ideals and dreams from the twentieth century.

Het STRP Festival is één van de grootste art & technology festivals in Europa en uniek in de mix van muziek, kunst & technologie. De inhoud van het programma is multidisciplinair en laagdrempelig.
FIFI
Voor de één zijn technologie en internet misschien wat griezelig. Voor de ander zijn het eindeloze uitdagingen. Fear it? Fix it! Ons motto: wees niet bang voor technologische ontwikkelingen, maar pas ze toe zodat je er wat aan hebt.

Infodecodata
Datavisualisatie, het vakgebied dat zich bezighoudt met het visualiseren en structureren van gegevens, heeft een prominente plaats verworven binnen de grafische vormgeving. De tentoonstelling INFODECODATA brengt onze explosieve informatiewereld in beeld. Hoe structureren ontwerpers complexe data? De tentoonstelling presenteert een overzicht van informatiedesign met beeldiconen, wetenschappelijke datavisualisaties, infographics en experimentele computeranimaties.
Transnatural
Die nieuwe wereld is rijk en tolerant, minstens zo tolerant als de altijd natuur was. Artificiële systemen worden autonoom en praatgraag, en paddestoelen zijn de hotste hi-tech die er is. Een source-crowd is een primitieve meercellige en een ontworpen protocel is een bioprocessor. De 21ste eeuw is de eeuw waarin technologie en natuur eindelijk samen levensvatbare kinderen krijgen, die bovendien zelf ook kinderen kunnen krijgen.
Society of the Query
This is a collaborative research on the culture and politics of (internet) search (engines). The initiatives builds on the events on this topic, Quero in Maastricht, September 2007 (URL), Deep Search in Vienna, November 2008 (URL) and Society of the Query in Amsterdam, November 2009 (URL). Instead of each time having to start an event-driven blog and email list, the idea was to create a permanent location on the web where material can be gathered and updated.
